What Is Home Staging And How To Do It

Home staging is the act of preparing a private residence for sale in the real estate marketplace. The goal of staging is to make a home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers, thereby selling a property more swiftly and for more money.

Home staging is only in its primitive stages as far as the sale of Pakistan properties goes. Even in major cities, landlords do not make much effort to beautifu their property in attempts of fetching better rental or sale price.
Not many people know this but the fact is that with very little effort and loads of innovation and creative thinking, your home staging can turn out to be super successful. Following are some of the tips which could come in handy for your next home staging.

1- The first thing that a client notice in your property is paint. If you think that you can get away with a five years old paint job, think again. I know getting the whole of your place painted is not easy but when viewed in context with the kind of returns you can reap, its nothing. So do not hesitate on spending a little and get your place repainted.

2- While you're giving your place a face lift, make sure to fix the cracks and holes in the wall. These cracks and holes seem to especially widen during the rainy season and look horrible and should be fixed before getting the place repainted as it also helps the paint to last long.

3- Drains, Tabs and water pipes have a life and are susceptible to leak. Tenants and buyers are especially keen on checking taps, water pipes here and there to test for leakage and problems. Its always wise to get all the work done before hand.

4- If your house has a front or a backyard that is evidently unkempt then take out some time and trim the bushes, clean the hedges and mow the grass. Tidy up the place and give it a nice and clean look that could refresh the visitors.

5- Make sure to turn all the lights on whenever you have a visitor. Dark and badly lit homes give a bad impression. With lights up, rooms look spacious and airy.
